Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture presents “Letters and Spirits”: Ben Fountain

Renowned Dallas author Ben Fountain will give his hometown the first glimpse of his forthcoming novel, Devil Makes Three, well in advance of its publication in September 2023.

National Book Award Finalist and NBCC winner Fountain’s newest novel is set in the aftermath of the 1991 coup d’état of Haiti's first democratically elected president. The novel follows an American expat who owns a dive shop, his Haitian American friends, and an intelligence officer who may be complicit in the disasters that surround them.

The event begins with an author meet-and-greet, where guests can enjoy craft mocktails, cocktails, and light bites. An author-led discussions of the book will be followed by a moderated Q&A with the author.
