Hannah Arendt

captures a crucial juncture in the life of the German-born philosopher who coined the phrase, “banality of evil.” Arendt’s theory, embedded in a series of articles reported in The New Yorker, covered the trial of Nazi criminal Adolf Eichmann in Jerusalem, and its 1961 publication incited outrage and controversy internationally.

The gripping drama, starring German actress Barbara Sukowa, delves into Arendt’s life and the repercussions which adversely affected her existence, damaging her friendships, marriage and career.
