Legendary swimmer and record holder Diana Nyad has always dreamed of swimming the 103 miles from Cuba to Florida. The Other Shore documents Diana's determination in achieving this dream. After attempting and failing the swim when she was 30-years-old, Diana retired from swimming and became a sports broadcaster.

30 years later, she comes out of retirement to attempt this epic and harsh long-distance swim again. As her obsession grows, her past and present collide, and she must overcome not only the water’s brutal currents and deadly marine life, but her own physical and mental limits. The extraordinary passion and life of Diana Nyad is fascinating to watch as we see her emotional journey to reach the other shore.
