Daniel Porter will be playing some of his original songs along with a few tributes to the great Jazz piano trios. Coming to Dallas by way of Sioux City, Iowa, Porter is a full-time keyboardist in Dallas-Fort Worth.

A 2014 Jazz Studies graduate from the University of North Texas, Porter has gradually inched his way into the talent-soaked scene, working with dozens of the area's finest performers, including Mark Lettieri, Shaun Martin, Tatiana Mayfield, Kirk Thurmond, and Vandell Andrew, among many others. He leads an original trio project called "Q&A" that can be heard the first Tuesday of the month at Independent Bar and Kitchen. The group features entirely original instrumental compositions that balance jazz influences with his affinity for rock, progressive, and soul music.
