The Dallas Opera will present Die tote Stadt, the tale of one man’s dark obsession with the woman he loved and lost. Featuring state-of-the-art projections and composed by a prodigy who evolved into one of the great masters of music for the Golden Age of Cinema, Die tote Stadt is about Paul, a man whose fierce grip on the memory of his dead wife will be challenged by the equally determined Marietta. Can he let go of his fantasy in order to live again?
