The Dallas Opera’s Family Concert Series breaks new ground this season as it delves into the curious life and times of the phenomenally talented and eccentric Italian composer, Gioachino Rossini. A fast-thinking genius who created more than 40 operas and a host of other works during his relatively short career, Rossini was a man with a tremendous appetite for life – starting in the kitchen.
Bring the kids and spend an hour enjoying some of opera’s greatest tits. From the William Tell Overture (“The Lone Ranger Theme”) to The Barber of Seville (“Figaro!”), The Dallas Opera Orchestra under the direction of acclaimed conductor Peter Manning will leave you cheering for extra helpings.
12:30 pm — The lobby will open for fun activities including crafts.
2 pm — Rossini & Company (Sung in multiple languages with English supertitles).
