For the second straight year, opera fans will get to experience a Dallas Opera production in a bigger-than-life setting, Cowboys Stadium. The April 13 showing of Turandot, the tale of a prince who risks everything to woo the unwooable Princess Turandot, will be simulcast for free at Jerry World. 2012's simulcast drew more than 10,000 people, and Dallas Opera is hoping draw even more people this time around.
Fans must reserve ticket via dallasopera.org/cowboys. Make sure to get there early to watch the classic Warner Brothers' Bugs Bunny cartoon, “What’s Opera, Doc?,” as well as Lee Hoiby’s “Bon Appétit!” with Susan Nicely as Julia Child.
