This year marks the 260th anniversary of Handel’s death, and they have picked “Glorious Baroque” as their theme of this year's concert. Dallas Philharmonic Choir will present the most classic repertoire in Handel’s "Messiah" and in Vivaldi's "Gloria." The choir will also present an A Cappella Mongolian-influenced piece, several familiar Chinese folk songs, and a new contemporary song performed in Taiwanese in an effort to satisfy different music tastes and achieve a balance between artistry and entertainment.
