Dallas Symphony Orchestra presents "Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony"

eventdetail

No other symphony has such instant recognition as Beethoven’s Fifth. Rising from its four powerful opening chords, it follows a euphoric path from tragedy to triumph, from darkness into the light, uplifting spirits on the journey. Conductor Fabio Luisi will also lead the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Concertmaster Alexander Kerr in Bruch’s romantic Violin Concerto. Opening the concert is the world premiere of Pulitzer Prize-winning Native American composer Raven Chacon’s first major work for orchestra.
