As Prokofiev lost hope for the production of his opera The Fiery Angel, he found new life for the music in his Symphony No. 3. The DSO last performed the piece in 1995. The always-affable Peter Serkin brings spirit to Mozart's buoyant Piano Concerto No. 19. Rimsky-Koraskov's Capriccio espangnol takes us to Spain in this beloved piece based on Spanish folk tunes.
