Dash for the Beads is a 5k run, 1 mile walk, costume contest and festival that starts at Kidd Springs Park in Oak Cliff. It's a way to bring attention and beautification to the Oak Cliff/Bishop Arts District areas; this year's race will benefit Fido Oak Cliff to help bring a permanent dog park to North Oak Cliff.
Registration is $25 thru January 30 and $30 thru February 7 for the 5K run, $20 for the one-mile walk and $15 for children. Attendance is free and open to the public.
