eventdetail

David Dike Fine Art will present a new series of artwork by Texas artist Jon Flaming.  The Oil on Canvas series is a collection of new and unseen works from Flaming. Viewers will discover a vibrant and fresh new look in Flaming’s technique, revealing a progression in the artist’s style.

Flaming is a multi-disciplined artist who is a graphic designer, illustrator, and painter. He started Jon Flaming Design in 1993 and has created award-winning design campaigns and illustrations for a number of clients including Neiman Marcus, Milton Bradley, JC Penney, Pizza Hut, FedEx, Hewlett Packard and Pepsi.

Flaming’s new body of work comprises paintings depicting the hard, hands-on work of the current oil and gas boom in Texas. This recent oil boom has certainly sparked a renewed excitement in the oil industry. Jon’s portraits, machinery and equipment depicted in his subject matter as well as locations of the paintings depict the current events and issues the oil field workers and land men are experiencing today. The paintings are executed a Modern-Folk-Art style that is a Jon Flaming signature.
