John Comazzi is the author of Balthazar Korab: Architect of Photography, an illustrated biography on the life and career of Korab, one of the most prolific and celebrated photographers of architecture practicing during the second half of the twentieth century. The book is the first dedicated solely to Korab’s life and career, and traces his circuitous path from post-war Hungary to his professional pursuits as a designer and photographer in the office of Eero Saarinen (1955-58), and his 50-year career as a professional photographer of architecture.
In addition to the book, Comazzi has curated numerous exhibitions highlighting the Korab’s photography, including the current show at the Dallas Center for Architecture, Inflected Modernism: The Architecture Photography of Balthazar Korab, running through November 13.
