Everything is not as it seems to be. Do things mean possibly more, possibly less, maybe nothing? Is this a pleasant dream, an idle hallucination? Is this world friend or faux? In the kaRaoKe MoTeL, the real, imagined, fantasy and fears, fold and spin, which rooms of consciousness will you stay in? Have you been to the lounge?

kaRaoKe MoTeL is a DWZ world premiere performance immersion conceived, written and directed by Thomas Riccio. The performance will take place at the Icehouse, a former icehouse in west Dallas.

kaRaoKe MoTeL is the third installment in a trilogy of a karmic life cycle immersion performances presented by the Dead White Zombies. Following Flesh World (death) and (w)hole (afterlife), kaRaoKe MoTeL is rebirth. kaRaoKe MoTeL will be a site-specific performance immersion, whereby audiences enter into and are immersed in a narrative.

Each audience member will begin with a “processing” going through a series of initiatory moments to prepare them for their journey, the path they chose is up to them and chance. A multiplicity of events will occur, often simultaneously, throughout a 20,000 square foot space.
