Deep Ellum has been a haven for artists and those with a creative spirit since its earliest days. Deep Ellum Open Studios is a one day, jam-packed event all about highlighting the artistic soul of the neighborhood through visual arts, artist tours, an artisan market, and live muraling.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Deep Ellum Open Studios is retooling this year to provide the safest possible experience for both artists and art lovers. The event will be taking on a hybrid form, featuring both virtual and physical experiences.
Leading up to the event, there will be video tours of local artist lofts as well as interviews with Deep Ellum artists. On the day of the event, Deep Ellum artists will be popping up in locations across the neighborhood to say hello and sell their work. Additionally, there will be live muraling by local artists, artisan markets, and music from local musicians.
