Dallas Historical Society will present a happy hour to learn about the unique history of one of Dallas’ most iconic places. Bring friends to sip, socialize and “drink in” history knowledge in a fun, relaxed, and enjoyable setting.
This month’s happy hour will be hosted in AC Hotel by Marriott® – Dallas Downtown, the first of the AC Hotel brand in Texas, is located in the historic Mercantile Commerce Building which originally opened in 1956. The building has been vacant for the last 25 years until the opening of the hotel in mid-October 2017. The event will feature a building tour, visiting the original architectural gems, recalling the location’s heritage and vibrant past, and celebrating its exciting present and future.
Attendees are responsible for their food and drink. AC Lounge offers happy hour cocktail specials from 4-7 pm, plus a limited menu of Spanish-inspired small plates, such as warm olives, artisan meat and cheese plate, salads, and gourmet topped toasts.
