Dallas Historical Society will present a happy hour to learn about the unique history of one of Dallas’ most iconic places, Bowen House. Bring friends to sip, socialize and “drink in” history knowledge in a fun, relaxed, and enjoyable setting.
The house was built for the Bowen family in 1874. It is one of the few remaining examples of the simple, wood frame, vernacular farmhouse prevalent in Dallas County during the latter part of the 19th century. The Ahab Bowen home was converted into a vintage store in 1976 and was owned and operated for 35 years before closing its doors in 2011.
