Dallas Historical Society will present a happy hour to learn about the unique history of one of Dallas’ most iconic places. Bring friends to sip, socialize and “drink in” history knowledge in a fun, relaxed, and enjoyable setting. This month’s happy hour will be hosted in Twisted Root Burger Co.

Learn about the history of Texas ranching and the history of Dallas restaurants from Aaron Shelby, grandson of Carroll Shelby (creator of the Shelby mustang), who will discuss his legacy and the history of the building where he operated one of the first sport car dealerships. A collection of his items and his famous cars will be on display at Hall of State during the 2018 State Fair’s exhibit, “Celebrating Texas Innovation.”
