In the latest Jazz in the Atrium at Dallas Museum of Art, The Chris McGuire Quintet will present the music of Charlie Parker. McGuire is a multi-instrumentalist whose quintet features Rodney Booth (trumpet), Stefan Karlsson (piano) and Andrew Griffith (drums).
Charlie Parker was a highly influential jazz soloist and a leading figure in the development of bebop, a form of jazz characterized by fast tempos, virtuosic technique and improvisation.
