Dog Day Afternoon at ZEN Sushi will be a pure-bred dog rescue event, featuring rescue groups ABARS (American Bullmastiff Association Rescue Services), Southern Rare Breed Rescue, Almost Home Dogz, Bull Terrier Club of Dallas and Cane Corso Rescue. Dogs available will be bullmastiffs, bull terriers, a Cane Corso, an English bulldog, a Dogue de Bordeaux, a toy poodle, a Great Dane puppy and others. All dogs shown will be available for adoption.

Everyone approved for adoption will receive a gift package worth over $220, including a basket of goodies and vet services from Park Cities Animal Hospital, a starter bag of all-natural dog food from Green Pet and a $50 Gift Certificate to dine at ZEN. The first five adopters will receive a Gift Card for a Mini Photo Session with dog photographer Sylvia Elzafon.
