The Emmitt Smith Gran Fondo bike event will be leaving from Rough Riders Stadium in Frisco, TX. The Gran Fondo courses are designed accommodate the most avid of cyclists to the casual weekend rider. Emmitt Smith designed these routes with a nod to his NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys by paying tribute to his football number, #22. There are four routes; the Gran Fondo-100 mile timed route with a $10,000 purse, a 100k, 45-mile and 22-mile route along with a 2.2-mile family ride. The inaugural event will include a post-race party complete with a beer garden, live entertainment, family activities and awards ceremony. Proceeds will benefit Pat & Emmitt Smith Charities.
