Fair Assembly presents Macbeth

eventdetail

Macbeth is an interdisciplinary performance using live sound, original music, and dance. Fair Assembly is interested in the humanity of this tragedy: a powerful bond between partners broken by overwhelming circumstances, the transformative and revealing nature of power, and the many ways humans react to the rise of a tyrant.

Fair Assembly works as an ensemble, eschewing the top-down approach of the American theatre with one director is sole decision-maker. Inspired by the work of Jacques Lecoq and the collaborative nature of Shakespeare’s own company, they invite every person involved to contribute creatively, with co-directors serving as producers and vision-keepers.
