Corndogs, man, they’re American as hell and we can even kind of claim them as a Dallas creation thanks to the Fletchers. The Libertine Bar throws their corndog-eating contest on the Fourth, complete with a Brass Knuckles trophy for whoever downs the most in 15 minutes. Third place gets $25 in quarters, which is awesome, and if there’s a tie then they’ll do a tequila shoot out break it, which is even more awesome. The bar will be open at 11 am with a dunk tank, but the contest begins at 7 pm if you want to see the carnage.
