Conducted by Gregory Hustis, former Principal Horn of the Dallas Symphony and current faculty at UT Dallas and SMU, this brass extravaganza will feature music by Wallingford Riegger, G.F. Handel, Giovanni Gabrieli, Morten Lauridsen and Rimsky Korsakov.
Of special note, Mr. Hustis has included a premiere of Quinn Mason’s brass quintet, Masonian Rondo. As a scholarship student at FACP since fall of 2007, Quinn Mason received a Tommy Tranchin Award from The Dallas Foundation to study composition with Dr. Robert Rodriguez at UT Dallas in the summer of 2013. The Tommy Tranchin Award supports students with autism or other challenges who have excelled or shown promise in a chosen field of interest. Quinn is a senior at North Dallas High School who has studied composition and music theory with Dr. Winston Stone at UT Dallas for the past four years.
