Fine Arts Chamber Players will present the annual Hallam Family Concerts series. This season's theme is "Through the Looking Glass," which conjures up the delightful whimsey of Lewis Carroll and the sometimes terrifying ways that perspective-shifts influence the perception of reality.
What is “American” music? In works for piano and strings by Antonín Dvořák and Florence Price, we hear how culture, pedagogy, and individual experience impact musical creation, and how the essence of American music is found in this inherent uniqueness.
The program will include Dvořák's String Quartet No. 12 in F Major, “American,” and Florence Price's Piano Quintet in A minor.
Performers include Eunice Keem, Hyorim Han, Matthew Sinno, Jennifer Choi, and Benjamin Loeb.
