At Food in Fashion: Cuisine Meets Couture, 10 emerging fashion designers will partner with 10 restaurants to create fashions for 10 models in a Project Runway-like show. Ten percent or more of each fashion must come out of the restaurant, whether edible or not.
The Dallas ISD Board of Trustees will team with Dallas ISD high school culinary career students and prepare appetizers in a friendly Chopped-like competition. Offering appetizers, drinks, a silent auction, DJ, and a fashion show, proceeds from this reception benefit the Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation and its Texas ProStart culinary career program which is offered in Dallas ISD high schools.
Food in Fashion is presented by Neiman Marcus, Elettore, Trinity Groves, Save the Patio, and 3015 at Trinity Groves. Cocktail attire is requested, but guests are invited to garnish looks with something from the kitchen.
