Navigating life’s final passage is a profound experience for individuals and families. Whether in the home or at the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center, Faith Presbyterian Hospice helps that transition become less about loss and more about comfort, enrichment, love and celebration. The programs and services made possible through the Each Moment Matters Luncheon provide for the care of unfunded patients as well as the special programming and clinical services that we call the “Faith Difference,” such as child bereavement programs and music and massage therapy.
Dr. BJ Miller will serve as keynote for the 13th annual Each Moment Matters Luncheon. A physician, author, storyteller, burn survivor, and advocate for patient-centered, palliative and end-of-life care, Dr. Miller had a popular TED Talk, “What Really Matters at the End of Life,” and has appeared on Super Soul Sunday with Oprah Winfrey and Goop with Gwyneth Paltrow. His story was also featured on Netflix’s 2018 short documentary, End Game.
A unique feature of the Each Moment Matters Luncheon is recognizing individuals throughout their community who are making an extraordinary difference in the lives of others. They exemplify what it means to make each moment matter, and inspire others to do the same. By allowing people to honor them, they make even more extraordinary moments possible in the lives of those served by Faith Presbyterian Hospice.
