Internationally acclaimed theater artist Fred Curchack will take over the Contemporary Theatre of Dallas venue to present his political/poetical/philosophical and hysterical songs in an hour-long musical joyride of wildly eclectic musical genres including rock, country, rap, jazz, classical, Hawaiian ukulele and Japanese koto.
Curchack has written, directed, and performed 78 theater works, most of them with original songs. His theater studies include the High School of Performing Arts, Queens College, Indian Kathakali, Japanese Noh, Balinese Topeng, Commedia dell’Arte, choreography with Alwin Nikolais, and training with Grotowski’s Polish Theater Lab. He is Professor of Aesthetic Studies at The University of Texas at Dallas.
