AT&T Performing Arts Center will present a special panel discussion exploring Dallas’s LGBTQ history before the September 19 performance of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Fun Home, which explores LGBTQ themes. This collaboration with The Dallas Way will feature topics such as the formation of Dallas’s major LGBTQ organizations, political advocacy for equal rights, and the impact of the AIDS epidemic on the community.
The panel is free and open to the public. A ticket to Fun Home is not required to attend the panel discussion. September 19 is “Pride Night” at the Center presented in collaboration with the Dallas Voice. In addition to the panel discussion prior to the performance, there will be a post-show Pride party with the cast and crew of Fun Home, also in Hamon Hall.
