Fun House Theatre and Film will mount the Arthur Miller classic Death Of A Salesman, directed by veteran regional director Susan Sergeant and featuring acclaimed actor Jeff Swearingen as Willy Loman, appearing alongside a cast of 11 of Fun House’s young actors.
This traditional production of the work has been designed as a test of Fun House's program, now entering its fifth year, as well as of the concept of “age-blind” casting. In an effort to add another level of difficulty to the challenging work these young actors have conquered, they have been untraditionally cast opposite of 37-year-old Swearingen with the goal of seamlessly blending the 14-18-year-old actors with a seasoned and awarded professional to create a production in which the audience abandons awareness of the age of the actors and draws their conclusions based on the skills displayed, on the level playing field of a well known and intricate theatrical work.
