Galleria Dallas will host the Black Fashion Movement, created by Frenchye Harris, and over a dozen designers representing the BIPOC community for a pop-up experience where shoppers can see the works of some of the country’s most up and coming designers.
The Black Fashion Movement launched in February 2020 as a grassroots social media campaign to celebrate, promote, and support black-owned fashion brands during Black History Month. The movement took root and evolved. The Black Fashion Movement is now a community of fashion designers, entrepreneurs, stylists, fashion industry executives, and fashion enthusiasts that share the vision of normalizing buying and incorporating Black-owned fashion brands into their everyday wardrobes.
Designers featured will include Kendall Miles, Robin Harris, Norman Scales, Keva Johnson, Salone Monet, Shawna McGee, Aisha McShaw, Kim Roxie, and Regina Porter. Additionally, a collection of Dallas designers will be featured at Black Fashion Movement, including Serita Jakes, Donald Mofor, Sai Sankoh, and Dawn Franklin.
