Galleria Dallas is partnering with the Dallas chapter of Fashion Group International to present "Fashion Meets Mask," an exhibit and virtual auction celebrating the art of the mask. More than 50 face masks created by local and national celebrities will be displayed on Level One at Galleria Dallas throughout November.
The colorful array of face coverings was designed by a wide variety of luminaries, including designers like Venny Etienne and Dame Zandra Rhodes. Visual artists ranging from Jeremiah Onifade to Lea Fisher have also submitted works. Additional masks have been created by celebs ranging from actresses Linda Gray and Morgan Fairchild to athletes like Troy Aikman and Daryl Johnston.
Interested bidders can either use the QR code onsite at the exhibition or visit events.handbid.com/auctions/fashion-meets-mask to bid on the individual masks.
Proceeds from the sale of those masks will benefit the Fashion Group Foundation of Dallas, a 501(c)3 which provides scholarships to fashion design and fashion merchandising students across North Texas and the region.
