Legendary ice skater Scott Hamilton is a longtime friend of Galleria Ice Skating Center, and in recognition of the skater and his contribution to figure skating, the staff and students of the Galleria Ice Skating Center Skating School will host a benefit fundraiser for Hamilton’s Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer.
Skating School Students and others can collect pledges for skating. The event will include games and fun on the ice all day. The Galleria Ice Skating Center will also be donating proceeds of rink admissions on May 13 to the fundraiser. The group hopes to raise $10,000 for cancer research.
Additionally, Galleria Dallas Ice Skating Center will host free exhibitions featuring prominent local skaters, including Timothy Dolensky, Emily Chan, Kristen Nardozzi and Nick Traxler.
