Garland Symphony Orchestra presents LeeAnne Thompson

The April 2015 Garland Symphony Orchestra performance will feature principal flutist, LeeAnne Thompson, who will perform Liebermann’s Flute Concerto with guest conductor Gabriele Pezone leading the GSO.

The orchestra will also perform Hérold’s Overture to Zampa, Puccini’s Chrysanthemums, Respighi's Pines of Rome and Kabalevsky’s Romeo and Juliet. Thompson is a native of Waukesha, Wisconsin, and received the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in flute performance from University of North Texas. Thompson has performed as a soloist in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Maestro Pezone studied piano under the guidance of Antonio Luciani and successfully graduated from Latina’s Conservatory "O. Respighi" with Salvatorella Coggi and choral music and choir conducting with Mauro Bacherini. He is the establisher of the “Fondi Chamber Orchestra” (with whom he recently record for Vatican Radio with the Italian-American pianist Natalie Gabrielli).
