The George W. Bush Presidential Center will celebrate its fifth anniversary with free admission, family activities, new artifacts, and special guests. During the week-long celebration, visitors will explore never-before-seen artifacts including unique gifts and one-of-a-kind memorabilia.
Bush-Cheney Alumni who worked alongside President and Mrs. Bush, and Bush Institute experts will be stationed throughout the galleries, sharing behind-the-scenes stories and intriguing facts with museum patrons. Family activities, including balloon artists and face painters, Native Park tours, and lawn games in the Texas Rose Garden, will be available during select times and days throughout the week. In the Ceremonial Courtyard, free samples of Mrs. Bush’s Cowboy Cookies will be available, and The Courtyard Café will offer food specials daily featuring favorite dishes of President and Mrs. Bush.
In addition to the fifth anniversary celebration, visitors can also view the current exhibit, "First Ladies, Style of Influence," on display through October 1. "First Ladies: Style of Influence" examines how the role of the first lady has evolved over time, and how they have used their position to advance diplomacy and other social, cultural, and political initiatives.
