A special magic happens when light or lack of light is portrayed well. Light effects change on a sunny day or an overcast day, whether it is dawn, high noon, twilight of day or in darkness. Artworks go to new heights, whether it be an overall light or a narrowly focused source: composition, design, and color are all influenced. Red is a very vivid hue. The color emotes strong visual energy. The hue can be warm as fire, or as cool as a winter sunset as the light dances across the scene. Light gives art its emotional touch.
