Granada Theater presents Texas Chili Festival

eventdetail

There are few states in the good ol’ USA that know how to cook some of the best chili around; luckily Texas knows a thing or two about this steaming bowl of goodness. The Granada Theater’s events division, Serenity Events, presents the inaugural Texas Chili Festival, featuring select North Texas chefs cooking their own chili interpretations with live entertainment from notable music acts.

A traditional chili cook-off is all about making a statement using big, bold flavors without losing the essence of what chili is. Up to the challenge will be a lineup of chefs ready to spoil all attendees’ taste buds. Graham Dodds (Wayward Sons), Oliver Sitrin (Blind Butcher), Troy Gardner (V Eats & Samson’s Gourmet Hot Dogs), Jason West (Sundown at Granada), and Patton Robertson (Café Momentum) will each cook their unique version of what Texas chili means to them. Festival-goers will have a chance to try each chef’s mouthwatering batch.

It just wouldn’t be a festival without live music, and there will be plenty of it to enjoy. Charlie Robison, Slobberbone, Mike McClure, Phil Pritchett, The Vandoliers, and The Roomsounds will provide the entertainment all day long spreading across two stages. Each act delivers on Americana and Texas Country influences that keep the good vibes (and times) going strong. In addition, a vendor village full of festive offerings, interactive game area and VIP tent will be available for guests to enjoy.
