For the last 25 years, The British Emporium has been the premier resource in North Texas for British groceries, gifts, teapots, and pop-culture items. To celebrate their silver anniversary, they will present two special events.
The celebration will start with a showing of the classic British comedy A Fish Called Wanda at 1 pm. The 1988 movie written by and starring John Cleese also stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Kline, and Michael Palin.
A Hard Night’s Day, a local Beatles tribute band, will showcase the celebration with a concert at 8 pm. Over the course of two hours, guests will travel down “Abbey Road” with memories of their favorite Beatles tunes, complete with costumes straight out of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
