The Greyhound Adoption League of Texas (GALT) will celebrate its 15th birthday at Pilot Knoll Park in Highland Village on the banks of Lake Lewisville. Planned activities include off-leash enclosed greyhound play area, GreytStore, Portraits by Shagly Photography, Reiki, nails trims, raffle, lunch, birthday cake for humans, hounds and more. For 15 years, GALT has been the organization of choice for retired greyhounds requiring adoption services as well as the adoption organization of last resort for many injured, abused, and neglected Greyhounds. GALT has assisted more than 2,700 greyhounds and sight hounds in finding their forever homes and depends solely on donations for its operational budget which exceeds $330,000 per year.
