The Plano Balloon Festival is a three-day weekend event that offers something for everyone. The event will feature a balloon glow presented by the City of Plano, skydivers, hot air balloons, concerts, fireworks, a huge kid’s fun zone, merchandise vendors, corporate exhibitors, and variety of foods. There will also be a half marathon, relay, 5K run/walk, and 1-mile Fun Run.

Schedule of events
- Thursday, September 18: The grand opening of the festival features the RE/MAX of Texas Parachute Team Exhibition, followed by a Balloon Glow. The Plano Symphony Orchestra Family Friendly Concert will also be on the FOX4 Main Stage, followed by a fireworks display.
- Friday, September 19: Midtown 10 will perform at various points throughout the day. There will also be the RE/MAX of Texas Parachute Team Exhibition, a Balloon Glow presented by RE/MAX, and a fireworks display.
- Saturday, September 20: The Balloon Launch will occur Saturday morning with the Plano Community Band in Concert on the Fox4 Main Stage. Ice House Band will perform at various points during the day. There will also be a RE/MAX of Texas Parachute Team Exhibition, a Balloon Glow presented by H-E-B | Central Market, and a fireworks display.
- Sunday, September 21: Sunday will include a morning Balloon Launch and more.
