Heritage Farmstead Museum presents Victorian Eggstravaganza and Spring Festival

The Heritage Farmstead Museum will be hosting an egg hunt for children 8 and younger. After the hunt stay for the day to celebrate the joys of spring on the Blackland Prairie with the traditional shearing of sheep. Hands-on demonstrations include carding, skirting, washing, dyeing, and weaving the wool. Other activities include tours of the Farrell Wilson house wagon rides, and special exhibits. Free lemonade and sweet tea will be provided by Raising Canes.

The Heritage Farmstead Museum will also feature an exhibit on Ammie Wilson who became nationally and Internationally famous on the Show Circuit. She entered the show circuit in 1941 with 6 Hampshire Sheep. Join for a celebration of 75 years of her Sheep Legacy.
