Human Interest Group, a new art gallery in Dallas, opens its doors on July 7 for its inaugural exhibition. In Polymorphic material fog, Sam Shoemaker and Will Shea take on a 4,600 square feet industrial space which was formerly a night club. This exhibition is the result of a year long dialogue between the artists, culminating in complementary work that engages the space directly.

Sam Shoemaker lives and works in LA. His work for the show features a network of plaster sculptures displayed in a monumental plinth constructed from paper pulp, culled from the streets of Dallas.

Will Shea lives and works in NYC. His work for this exhibition consists of 24 paintings on PVC, the result of a circular pan around a digital object. This mechanism is further exposed in a series of 4 videos that will be on display.

Following the opening, the show will be running through July 14, in which the artists will be producing new works in the space.
