Human Rights Initiative of North Texas will present Max Baca and Los Texmaniacs, a six time-Grammy Award-winning Conjunto band and world ambassador for Texas Roots music, to headline its second annual Rock Your HeART Out Concert and Art Auction.

Bombasta, Texas Music Magazine’s 2013 Artist of the Year winner from San Antonio, will perform, providing a Latin mix of salsa, bachata and hip-hop while attendees bid to own a one-of-a-kind works of art by local artists paired with past HRI clients.

This year, seven teams of local artists and former HRI clients are pairing up to create unique pieces for the silent auction, each of which will shed light on the immigrant journey to freedom. RYHO artists gained national recognition last year when the artist-client pairs shared their perspectives on art as a means to carry forth justice and awareness. This year’s artists are focused on bringing the bravery of HRI clients to fruition in the form of photography, paint, and stained glass.
