Irving Arts Center will present an opening reception of recent works of Susan Kindley & Hugh Adams.
Kindley has never been far from the camera. Working first in front of the camera as a teen model, she later began working alongside photographers as a fashion stylist, make-up artist and talent agent. Eventually, she found her true calling behind the camera, diving headfirst into photography: capturing, recording and preserving "Oh Wow" moments-in-time.
Adams developed his passion for photography after seeing an image develop in the foggy, red light of a darkroom. The magic of seeing a photograph come alive set hi on his path toward mastering digital imaging, an art which relect in his overall photographic philosophy. Adams' creations often utilize the strong contrasts between light and dark. His perfect photograph? A black and white image with soft grays, light whites and bold blacks. His search for that perfect photograph has led him around the world: from South America to Europe and such destinations as India, Turkey and Russia.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through September 25.
