Janette Kennedy Gallery at South Side on Lamar will presents a new exhibition, DJ Naehritz’s “Not Just Vanilla.” The unconventional pieces encourage viewers to appreciate the complexity between form and texture. Her style is far from “vanilla,” because she chooses to rebel and not play by the rules. Naehritz’s abstract art is different from other abstract pieces because of the depth, color-play, and complex textures that each of her pieces contains.

The exhibit of the native Texan’s work will be on display from March 26 through April 13.
