J.D. Souther is one of the principal architects of the Southern California country-rock sound, having played a key role in the formation of The Eagles and co-writing some of their hits, like “Heartache Tonight,” “New Kid In Town” and “Best of My Love." After a relatively-short solo career, Souther decided to focus on songwriting. He's only returned to performing in the past five years, but his talent still shines through.
