The Dallas Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research, will host its fifth annual Fund A Cure Luncheon.

The luncheon will raise money in support of JDRF’s mission to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes. INDYCAR® Driver Charlie Kimball, an open-wheel race car driver with Novo Nordisk Chip Ganassi Racing in the Verizon INDYCAR® series, will be the featured speaker of the 2017 Fund A Cure Luncheon. Kimball, driver of the No. 83 Chevrolet, is the first and only licensed driver with diabetes in the history of INDYCAR® to win a race at the most elite level of the series. He is also the first driver with diabetes to qualify for, compete at, and lead laps at the famed Indianapolis 500.
