The 2013 Jewish Film Festival of Dallas will present Closed Season (Ende der Schonzeit), which takes place on a remote farm in the mountains of the Black Forest, where Fritz, a German farmer, and his wife, Emma, shelter a Jewish youth, Albert, fleeing Nazi persecution. Unable to father a child, the impotent farmer proposes that Albert impregnate Emma in exchange for sanctuary. At first repelled by the idea, Emma eventually relents, only to find herself falling for the stranger.
