Part of the Jewish Film Festival of Dallas. With three 2014 Israeli Academy Award (Ophir) nominations, Apples from the Desert is sure to please. It is the story of Rebecca Abravanel, an exuberant young Sephardic woman who defies her strictly orthodox parents by attending dance classes in Jerusalem. When she meets Dooby, a secular kibbutznik, her life changes forever.
