Part of the Jewish Film Festival of Dallas. Nearing the end of his life, Marcus Schwartz longs to return to his Jewish roots and be buried in a Jewish cemetery but he can no longer prove he is Jewish. Born Menachem Teitelbaum, this story follows a poignant and desperate search by the Holocaust survivor to find his past. Movie stars award-winning German actor Mario Adorf.

Immediately following the showing, Professor Zsuzsanna Ozsvath, Leah and Paul Lewis Chair in Holocaust Studies and Director of the Holocaust Studies Program at The University of Texas at Dallas’ Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies, will discuss the film and take questions.
